Know deep down there must be more? I did too

Today marks one year since I left my corporate job to focus on my coaching business 🎉
In some ways I feel like a different person.

I’m still me - just a more colourful, happier, more present version.
That change didn’t happen overnight. But looking back, the shift is unmistakable.
Mondays feel different now
I now love Monday mornings.
I sit down with my weekly planner, map out the week ahead and put the big rocks in first.
If I want to fit in an extra swim, I can.
If I want to start work at 7am and go for a long walk at 10am, I can.
If I want to make Fridays call-free, I can.
That sense of agency - of designing my week instead of surviving it - is priceless.
Not that there's anything wrong with a corporate career. It's just not me. I don't think I realised at the time how much that misalignment was costing me.
The part people don’t talk about
Let’s keep it real: this year hasn’t been easy.
Building your own business is an emotional rollercoaster. It demands resilience and self-belief and some days, that’s really hard.
But it’s hard in the best possible way.
There’s a big difference between draining hard and purposeful hard.
If you feel stuck where you are
If you’re reading this and feeling miserable at work or quietly sensing there must be something better, I want you to know that there is.
That doesn’t always mean a career change. Sometimes small shifts to your current job can be just as life-changing.
I believe this stuff is impossible to figure out alone. I got help: I invested in coaching and that's what helped me find my way.
It’s why I now help others do the same.
If you'd like to talk things through, book a free half hour chat with me and we'll see if there's work we can do together.
